Location: Primary School, Westgate-on-Sea, Kent

The Role:

The Finance Manager will assume a key role, responsible for managing the financial health of the school. This pivotal position reports directly to the Headteacher and involves close collaboration with the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing the school’s financial systems, including budgeting, financial planning, and accounts management.
  • Preparing detailed financial reports for the Headteacher and the governing body.
  • Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards specific to the educational sector.
  • Developing and implementing robust financial policies and procedures.
  • Administering payroll, managing procurement processes, and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Providing strategic financial advice to support decision-making at the management level.

  • A professional qualification in finance (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
