Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with this SME manufacturing business based in Walsall to recruit a Finance Manager for them. The subsidiary this role looks after has a turnover of circa £12 million and is growing. Based in superb offices, this role is a great, varied position.

Your new role

We are looking for a hands-on qualified Finance Manager to lead a team of 2. This role will be a varied position with full responsibility for a subsidiary of this group's business. This will include:

• Full responsibility of the accounting function
• Organising and controlling VAT, wages and corporate tax
• Producing monthly management accounts for the subsidiary
• Producing statutory accounts and managing the annual audit process
• Produce group reporting packs for the half-year end and year-end
• Ensure and improve local financial controls
• Partner with the MD to help increase profitability and implement budgets

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant, they would have experience of working in an SME business and be comfortable doing an A-Z accounting role from management accounts through to year-end.
