Finance Manager (Property)

Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5:30pm

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000PA + Benefits

Location: Mayfair

To manage the day-to-day accounting function within the Company, ensuring there is effective control of the organisation’s assets and liabilities and that all processes comply in full with current accounting regulations. The role drives financial reporting within the company and ensures accurate, timely and consistent information is provided to the Directors and external stakeholders.

Main duties:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury management.
  • The production of accurate and timely financial information, including monthly and quarterly management accounts and KPI reports, year-end financial accounts for audit and annual budgets.
  • Analysis and benchmarking of data as directed highlighting key performance metrics, variances, and trends.
  • Ensure all Company financial processes comply fully with accounting regulations and that financial safeguards and controls are in place to deter fraudulent activity.
  • Treasury management.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
  • Responsible for the preparation of VAT returns and reconciliation and remitting in line with due dates to HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Payroll processing, reconciliation and annual returns of P11d, PSA and other reports.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster their professional development.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of best practice and the effective housekeeping of all documentation ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
  • IT administration and maintenance with assistance from the IT department.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department, leveraging technology and automation where possible.

Essential experience

  • Ideally working as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller preferably within the property management industry.
  • Strong technical skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership and people management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of using MRI Qube PM
  • Experience of using Microsoft BI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; or a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
