Finance Manager

Your new company
I am partnering with a great organisation in Newcastle-under-Lyme who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team and look after all aspects of financial management for one of the business entities.
Your new role
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Managing all accounting operations, including nominal ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and cash management.
• Supporting the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and reporting variances.
• Preparing timely monthly financial statements in accordance with the group timetable.
• Managing finance activities that provide analysis to help drive business decisions relative to improving service level, efficiency and customer service via streamlining processes and cost-savings projects.
• Cashflow reporting
• Leading the month-end and year-end close process ensuring timely reporting to the group.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Managing and complying with statutory reporting requirements and tax filings with HMRC.
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Establishing seamless internal relationships with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure transparency of reporting for optimal business results

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant or finalist with proven experience in a similar role. You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and collaborate with a team, great communication skills and sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
