Finance Manager - Berkshire

Butler Rose is excited to be in cahoots with an outstanding academy and educator in the recruitment of a Finance Manager. I must stress that this is a top-priority hire an as such candidates available at short notice (up to 1 month) will be preferred over those on more lengthy commitments.

You'll be joining an impressive back-office team situated in stunning grounds steeped in history dating back to the 1800's. Reporting to the bursar, your strategic and operational prowess will be used to manage the entire account process from daily transaction to year end, and statutory audit. With the support of a finance assistant your primary responsibility will include but not be limited to;

• Controlling nominal ledgers, control accounts, multiple cost centres
• Monitoring and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Financial statements, accruals, prepayments
• Oversight of PL, ensuing suppliers are reconciled and allocated to the correct nominal ledger cost centre
• Timely action of supplier payment runs
• Adherence to internal / external process / procedure ensuring an up to date / current knowledge is maintained
• Production of management accounts inclusive of interpretation, variance analysis and commentary as appropriate for review and approval. Lead in production of the balance sheet
• Provision of robust budgeting and forecasting
• Support with the preparation for and subsequent action of stat accounts production and audits
• Invoicing for termly school fees, and production of fee substations for parents

The ideal candidate will be qualified or boast relevant schools based finance experience, be available to start at short notice an happy to be on site 5 days a week.
