How you’ll make an impact
As Senior Director of GTM Strategic Finance, you’ll leverage your strong financial, analytical and communication skills to become the go-to expert on all things financial and commercial for the UK and ROW region. Xero is growing and you will be a key part of driving this momentum forward.  This role will lead the team responsible for all UK and Emerging Markets financial aspects as well as providing commercial leadership for those businesses. You’ll be part of the regional leadership team with involvement across all key decision making and providing strategic direction for the business. This role is critical to focus resources and investment in the right areas to drive outcomes in the UK, which is one of Xero’s strategically most important markets, as well as overseeing a number of countries across the globe.
What you’ll do
- Form an integral part of the regional leadership team, enabling a strong understanding of financial and operational issues by linking financial and operational information to strategy and commercial outcomes
- Seek creative and innovative financial solutions to assist the regions in achieving their strategic goals, balancing revenue outcomes and efficiencies within the agreed performance and cost base settings
- Drive business performance through influencing senior leaders with critical information and analysis.
- Support communication between regional teams and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency
- Develop/implement regional business plans and manage UK and Emerging Markets planning, budget and forecast process
- Support global planning cycles by engaging on the long term strategy and medium term operating plans
- Execute day to day operational functions (compliance, tax and financial reporting), as well as ensuring the team delivers on financial modelling, commercial analysis and strategic projects
- Cost control management. Drive the business to proactively manage costs and optimise the cost base
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strong communication between the regions and central Finance and risks and opportunities are actively identified and discussed
- Inspire exceptional performance by building shared purpose and a culture that allows the team to thrive

  • Significant commercial and financial acumen

Experience

  • Proven extensive experience in finance, bringing demonstrable senior leadership experience in addition
  • Experience in a multinational Global high growth technology or SaaS business
  • Ideally ACA / CA / CPA / CFA qualified
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated analytical rigour
  • Experience coaching and influencing executive level leaders, supporting and advising on general commercial matters
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
