FINANCE ASSISTANT – Belfast

SALARY: £14.29 - £15.38 per hour

EMPLOYMENT: Full-time (open to reduced hours), 3 + months temporary assignment

Reed Accountancy is partnered with a respected and established organisation in Belfast in the appointment of an Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the purchase ledger function, processing invoices and credit notes, reconciling payments.
  • Updating financial records and assisting in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including daily bank reconciliations.
  • Collecting and entering data onto Microsoft excel to analyse financial information.
  • Assisting in the development and documentation of financial processes and procedures to maintain good financial control.
  • Other ad hoc assignments as and when required including supporting the existing team with holiday cover.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times, ensuring that personal details are recorded and stored as appropriate.
  • To undertake such other relevant duties which may from time to time be required that are relevant to the post.

 What you need to succeed:

  • Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English at grade C and above, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in an finance/administration role, processing invoices
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office – Word and Outlook
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Working knowledge of integrated accounting system e.g. SAGE
