Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Stevenage
Starting Salary: £23,500 with the opportunity to progress to £25,979 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Are you looking for your next hybrid working opportunity in accounts payable? Look no further! We’re an inclusive, dynamic team who work in a fast-paced environment to support our children looked after with all their financial needs.

To process and record financial data accurately and in accordance with deadlines and financial policy procedures.

To process payments & invoices via BACS transfer and reconcile accounts payable statements.

To liaise with other finance colleagues and frontline teams to support the delivery of the brokerage service to enable everyone to meet their targets.

To ensure that all payments are processed daily within the target time.

To ensure all weekly & monthly payments are accurately recorded and processed in time for the relevant BACS run.

To set up new vendors and amend existing vendors in a timely manner.

Answering queries and administration of team inboxes, and a prepaid card system.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Attention to detail (essential)

Good organisational skills & ability to prioritise workload

IT Literate (good excel skills essential & Outlook preferable)

Please note there will be a short Excel test at the interview stage.

Comprehensive training will be provided. Initial training is office based, face-to-face in Farnham House, Stevenage.

Laptop and mobile phone provided in order to work from home.

Working pattern to be discussed at interview. Three days a week preferable (on completion of training - Fridays only in the office).
