Who are we?
We are an environmentally minded supplier of luxury, sustainable, disposable textiles to the professional hair and beauty markets and a certified B Corp company. We help businesses reduce their environmental impact through laundry reduction. Our growing and wide, range of customers spans smaller high street salons right through to multinational global brands either directly or via distribution partners, not just in the UK but increasingly globally. We are a fast growing SME and as a member of the senior management team, you will be making a key contribution to our already impressive growth trajectory. 

The role:
In summary, reporting directly to our Managing Director, you will directly manage and oversee the daily finances of the business, working closely with the executive and operational teams to provide accurate management and financial information and insights to support and drive strategic decision-making. 
  • Preparing and presenting accurate business information, financial statements, and reports to the Senior Leadership Team, whilst maintaining robust financial controls and procedures. Develop and implement financial procedures.
  • Overseeing daily financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting, working capital, and financial risks. Monitoring financial performance and ensure compliance (UK and internationally) plus managing international multi-currency transactions and financial operations.
  • On the Operations management side of the role: streamline and optimise business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide challenge, support and guidance across inventory management, procurement, and supply chain operations.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver operational excellence, and management/development of your Finance team to achieve the same goals.

What are we looking for in you?
  • You must hold a recognised Professional Accounting Qualification – we are open to which Institute.
  • We are looking for a proven track record of strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and financial modelling, ideally gained through a Financial Controller level (or similar) role ideally within a product manufacturing or distribution business.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
  • Above all, an individual who is capable of delivering on all the responsibilities of the role personally but can also develop the Finance team to grow with the business.
