Our client, a prominent media organization renowned for its diverse portfolio of news brands and broadcast channels across the UK and Ireland are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the team.

The finance team plays a pivotal role in driving the success of the business. Operating as a cohesive unit across multiple locations, they strive to create a positive, productive, and highly efficient finance department.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Business Partnering: Serve as the primary liaison to the Studio teams, overseeing high-growth areas. Take ownership of print advertising budgets and engage with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Lead monthly and quarterly planning, forecasting, and review processes. Challenge assumptions to ensure accuracy and identify risks and opportunities. Maintain and optimize detailed commercial plans.
  • Analysis: Conduct investment appraisal and business case evaluations for new campaigns. Collaborate with commercial teams to track and report revenue performance and category trends.
  • Reporting: Deliver weekly and monthly reports on relevant KPIs and revenue. Ensure accurate recording of costs and revenue, collaborating with the commercial finance team. Enhance KPI reporting and provide insightful analysis on identified risks and opportunities.
About you
  • MUST be a Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior stakeholders
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Capacity to influence and challenge as appropriate
  • Media/commercial experience advantageous
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis (experience with TM1 preferred but not mandatory)
