The role is varied and will provide opportunities to learn new skills and support further study and structured training for career development.

The Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst

  • Managing the Purchase Ledger; posting invoices, responding to queries, reconciling supplier accounts and processing supplier payments
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of the daily Cash Flow forecast.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Information.
  • Report production for HMRC, FCA, auditors, banks and other stakeholders etc.
  • Assist and support with internal and external audits in relation to the firm’s financial activities.
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects.

Requirements of the Finance Analyst role

  • AAT qualified or Accountancy studier
  • Proven experience in Financial Services preferable.
  • Good numerical skills and the ability to problem solve and be a logical thinker.
  • Minimum of GCSE/ NVQ level including English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of common office systems, particularly the use of Advanced Excel.
  • Willing to learn and develop in the role itself and through additional accounting training.
