Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Wythenshawe
Job Type: Full-time, 36 hours (temp to permanent)
Pay rate: £12.50 to £14.50 per hour
Shifts and schedule:
Days: 2 pm to 8 pm
Nights: 8 pm to 8 am
Term time: 8 am to 8 pm

Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Support Worker in Wythenshawe.

We are seeking a patient, caring Support Worker to look after a 13-year-old with cerebral palsy who is non-verbal.

The role includes personal care and manual handling and supporting her in her day-to-day life. 

We are searching for a Support Worker who shares our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn’t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences.

Initially, this is a temporary role with the opportunity to be employed permanently after an initial trial period.

Please note that previous experience in complex care and a driver’s license is required for this role.

Salary & Benefits:
  • Fantastic pay rate of £12.50 per hour during the week and £14.50 per hour at the weekends and on Bank Holidays.

Client and Role:
  • Supporting the client at her own home. 
  • Our client lives with cerebral palsy, blindness, scoliosis and double incontinence and is non-verbal.
  • Support with hoisting, personal care, toileting, and peg feeding.
Successful Applicant:
  • Must have previous experience with clients living with cerebral palsy and requiring complex care, as well as experience with peg feeding.
  • Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, weekends). 
The role will be truly rewarding for someone who is able to communicate effectively and work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Support Worker to join a specialist home care team and develop their existing skills to support this very special little girl.
