My client are a traditional, busy law firm that have a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join their busy family law team as an Assistant in their Taunton Office.

The Role & Responsibilities:

  • This is a busy and varied role whereby you will be assisting the solicitors carrying out assistant/secretarial duties.
  • You will be liaising with clients and third parties, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, typing, filing and general support duties.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents using digital dictation, manage the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of hard and soft files, and communicate professionally with clients
  • Manage diary’s, book meeting rooms, prepare mail, arrange copying/scanning, alongside a whole host of admin duties

Person Specification:

  • The successful candidate will be experienced preferably with a background in this area of law.
  • Able to communicate in a professional manner with internal and external contacts
  • Commitment to providing excellent client care
  • Excellent IT skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing requirements
  • Team-focus with a flexible "can do" and collaborative approach to working with others, but also able to work alone.
  • Confidence to communicate with all levels in order to manage expectations and maintain effective working relationships
