Salary: £35-£40k depending on experience Location: Hammersmith, West London - Immediate Start

Job Summary 

This is a thrilling chance for a seasoned and proactive Hard Services Supervisor to become part of a well-regarded and esteemed estates team. This role is crucial in assisting the Facilities Manager in ensuring efficient operations and in molding the Hard FM services across the properties owned and overseen by the school

You’ll partner with the Facilities Manager to manage maintenance and lead a technical services team. You’ll offer M&E/hard services guidance to the team and stakeholders, supervise subcontractors to ensure efficient service aligned with contractual KPIs and SLAs, and provide training in line with school policies.

You will need a trade qualification and be able to demonstrate experience in plumbing, electrical or general building maintenance. Previous experience within a maintenance function in a school/ Hospital/ Commercial environment is desirable.

Salary £35-£40k depending on experience

Essentials:

  • Possession of at least an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building disciplines
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively
  • Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Capability to uphold confidentiality concerning school affairs
  • Proven experience in interacting with various stakeholders and providing exceptional customer service
  • Awareness of the necessary health and safety standards and safeguarding procedures
  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Possession of a full driving licence

Desirables

  • Experience of working in a School or educational environment
  • A solid understanding of water safety management
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems
  • IOSH (Managing Safely) or similar H&S qualification
