Are you a skilled Facilities Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity? Our UK operations team who manufacture propulsion technology for the aerospace and defense industry are looking to recruit experienced facilities engineers to join their dynamic team.

The Role:
As a Facilities Engineer, you will report directly to the Site Services Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of our site infrastructure and supporting functions.

Key responsibilities include:
Developing comprehensive plans, drawings, and proposals to support site infrastructure development.
Coordinating maintenance and repair activities for electrical, plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration, civil, and building systems, both internally and with third-party contractors.
Ensuring the continuity of service infrastructure through effective task management, both planned and reactive.
Designing facility layouts and systems, overseeing their implementation, and producing CAD drawings in support of proposals.
Evaluating operational systems and infrastructure to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules.
Overseeing contractor activities on site and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Generating reports and compliance documentation as required.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Experience required:
An HNC or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (a modern apprenticeship is advantageous).
Previous facilities experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAFM systems and AutoCAD.
Experience working with both Soft and Hard Facilities Management service providers.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Kaizen, Lean 6 Sigma, RCA).
Familiarity with building processes, construction principles, and relevant legislation.
Strong project/program management skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
Desirable certifications such as a green or black belt in relevant methodologies.
