Job Title: Facilities Assistant

Pay Rate: Competitive

Contract Type: 3 months Temp (Possibility that it could extend/become permanent)

Working Pattern: Full Time 37.5 hours per week - Working between Lombard Street and Walbrook buildings - onsite

Start date: ASAP

Purpose of the role:

Our client, a leading international risk management and insurance broking company, is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join their Real Estate & Facilities team in the UK. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to provide support in creating a safe and efficient working environment for all staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs in our client's facilities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or urgent requests.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working. environment, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining records of maintenance activities, repairs, and statutory documents.
  • Manage access control for the organisation's UK estate, including creating/cancelling access. passes and managing the systems.
  • Support the Facilities Manager in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with general administrative and ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a facilities management environment.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • IT literate with good communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, work under own initiative, and remain customer-focused under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to responsibilities in a changing environment.
  • High level of professionalism, trust, and integrity.

Desirable:

IOSH certification
