EYFS & KS1 Teaching Assistant

Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with an Ofsted rated "Good" SEN primary school in Runcorn as they require an experienced and reliable Teaching Assistant to work with the EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes. This is a long-term role that will last until the end of the academic year, with the school confirming they will need cover next academic year.

Your new role
In your new role you will be working with the EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes in an SEN primary school in Runcorn. You will be working with pupils with a variety of SEN including ASD, LD, ADHD, and dyslexia and adapt your approach to best suit your new pupils' individual and academic needs. You will offer intervention and booster sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis with a focus on phonics and speech and language. You will also be required to work under the instruction of the class teachers, aiding in general behaviour and classroom management.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered with your applicaiton you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:

• An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential
• Previous experience working with SEN
• The ability to take a person-centred approach to education
