A professional membership organisation is looking to recruit an Public Affairs Executive to support their public affairs strategies, enhancing the body's reputation by developing and maintaining key relationships with political and industry-specific influencers.

Key Responsibilities of the Public Affairs Executive:

  • Advance and maintain key partnerships, undertaking stakeholder mapping and identifying external events and other opportunities to attend to enhance the profile of the organisation.
  • Contribute to the composition of speeches, briefings, and agendas for internal and external audiences.
  • Support the organisation and delivery of a programme of political and thought-leadership events.
  • Provide administrative support to key monthly chair meetings, including recording actions.
  • Assume responsibility for maintenance of all stakeholder date and record any updates.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience of the Public Affairs Executive:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within a public affairs function is essential.
  • Experience liaising with senior officials in politics, the civil service, and/or the construction industry.
  • Outstanding writing and proof reading abilities.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.

Salary and Details:

  • £33,000 pro rata.
  • Full-time, 4-month fixed-term contract.
  • Based in Central London, with provision for remote working.
