Export & Customs Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an individual who has experience, in either a freight forwarding or customer service role within logistics. Working either Tuesday – Saturday or Wednesday – Sunday, on 8 hour variable shift pattern, you need to be driven by process improvements, able to work in a dynamic and fluid environment, meeting deadlines. You will be responsible for ensuring all customers receive an excellent level of service and plan customer orders to trucks via local digital portals.

• Plan groupage loads effectively to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Ensure that trucks are despatched as quickly as possible to reach market as quickly as possible????
• Relationship building with customers and colleagues.
• General problem solving and solution finding for customers.
• Ensure daily invoicing and administrative tasks are completed.
• Understanding of customs procedures for exporting trailers from the UK
• Follow up customer queries for their shipments.

• Preparation of customs and sanitary documentation

Please note, this position is fully office based.

About you

We need you to be a good team player, excellent communication skills and telephone manner are a must! Knowledge of transport operations would be advantageous but not essential.
