Job Title: Estimator

Location: Manchester

Company Overview:
We are a leading construction company with a strong presence in the North West and Midlands regions. Specializing in commercial spaces and office fit-outs, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Manchester.

Position Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and pricing jobs for commercial spaces and office fit-out projects. Working closely with our pre-construction and commercial teams, you will collaborate to ensure accurate cost estimations and competitive bids.

Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for commercial spaces and office fit-out projects.
Collaborate with the pre-construction and commercial teams to understand project requirements and develop cost estimates.
Take measurements and quantities from drawings and specifications to accurately price jobs.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and pricing for materials and services.
Analyze project specifications and requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
Work alongside other estimators to review and finalize tender submissions.
Use estimating software and tools to organize and manage tender documentation and pricing information.
Assist with the development of project budgets and cost plans.
Provide support to the commercial team during contract negotiations and project procurement activities.
Work independently and proactively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality estimates.

Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial spaces and office fit-outs.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, CostX).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
