Role: Estimator

Location: Great Barton

Type: Perm

Salary: £19,000-£30,000 (dependant on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing project specifications and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates. Your attention to detail and ability to effectively manage cost control will be crucial in this role.

Duties:

- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements

- Conduct thorough analysis of project costs, including materials, labour equipment, and subcontractor expenses

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation

- Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates

- Identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact project costs

- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals for submission to clients

- Maintain accurate records of all estimates and bids

Skills:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation

- Proficient in using estimating software and tools

- Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques

- Strong communication skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
