English Teacher

Position Overview: As an English Teacher at our Cheshire West Secondary Schools, you will have the opportunity to foster a love for the English language and literature in students from various backgrounds and abilities. You will play a crucial role in helping them develop their communication, critical thinking, and analytically skills, preparing them for future success across Key Stages 3,4 & 5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons that align with the national curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to both students and parents.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching resources and strategies.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and parent-teacher meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• PGCE in English or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• Familiarity with assessment techniques and educational technology.
