Engineering Shift Team Leader

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Shift Team Leader for our client's Duxford location. This is a full-time role that comes with a favourable salary and some excellent company benefits, including the chance to be part of a positive and diverse workplace culture.

As a Engineering Shift Team Leader, you will manage and control the day-to-day activities of the shift engineers by providing timely and proactive communication of work status, escalation and updates to the right people at the right time. You will also promote, develop and sustain problem solving techniques across the shift engineering team and participate in planned maintenance activities during equipment shutdowns.

• Ensuring accurate and timely completion of shift logs and CMMS work orders
• Ensure the inventory is kept up to date and ordered promptly
• Effectively managing and developing the shift engineering services and ensuring accurate timekeeping and holiday rotation
• Promoting, developing and sustaining problem-solving techniques
• Participating in planned maintenance activities during equipment shutdowns, effectively monitoring downtime information, and identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions

To apply for this Engineering Shift Team Leader role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

• A HNC (or nationally recognised equivalent)
• A mechanical or Electrical qualification or a nationally recognised apprenticeship
• ATEX, DSEAR and CompEx training
• Experience in IOSH's 18th Edition / Hydraulic, Pneumatic/Controls
• Confined space training and Permit training
