Responsibilities:

  • Successfully deliver the Employment Academy programme
  • Recruiting and supporting unemployed tenants into fixed-term employment roles
  • Mentoring through the fixed-term contract and supporting people into employment
  • Organising and delivering employability sessions
  • Providing motivational skills to encourage others to overcome their barriers to employment.
  • Supporting those unemployed with support with job hunting, including creating CVs and improving interview skills
  • Work closely with local external agencies to identify job opportunities and ensure the needs of the community are met.

Skills and experience required:

  • 2 years’ minimum experience supporting with employment opportunities
  • Motivational skills to encourage overcome their barriers to employment
  • Ability to develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong attention to detail
