Our client are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their team and play a key role in the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge electronics systems for automotive applications.  They are a global leader in advanced propulsion systems, providing innovative solutions to the automotive industry. Duties include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications for automotive electronics systems.
  • Design and develop electronic hardware, including schematic capture, layout, and prototyping.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to evaluate design concepts and ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and verification to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate and support hardware testing and validation activities, including test plan development and execution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the successful implementation of hardware designs.
  • Participate in design reviews, contribute to design improvements, and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

The successful candidate will have / be:

  • Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electronics hardware design, preferably in automotive or related industries.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools, such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, mixed-signal systems, and power electronics.
  • Experience with simulation tools, such as SPICE, for circuit analysis and verification.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 and automotive EMC requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
