Electrical Assembly Technician
  • Location: Peterborough
  • Salary: Up to £42,000 + benefits
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our dedicated team in Peterborough. This role is crucial for the electrical builds of water treatment equipment within our large-scale regeneration facility. Full training on our products will be provided, offering a clear career path within Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Fabricate, install, and document cables, trays, and rack assemblies.
  • Work with single-phase, three-phase, high-voltage, and low-voltage electrical circuits.
  • Prepare, solder, and terminate wire cable harnesses.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics.
  • Troubleshoot electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment, providing technical solutions.
  • Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLC) for problem detection and communication with the manufacturing and maintenance team.
  • Program instrumentation to relay information to a central HMI.
  • Test analogue inputs and outputs for accurate calibration.
  • Configure equipment using PLC interfaces such as GE Fanuc, Allan Bradley, Siemens.
  • Commission special build equipment, both electrically and mechanically.
  • Maintain product quality through quality control tests, inspections, and repair of all plant and field equipment.
  • Perform live working at 400V and electrical inspection and testing (EIC, EICR, and PAT).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • City And Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • NVQ3 in electrical based units.
  • City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection.
  • Passport to safety or equivalent.
  • Experience in industrial electrical works.
