We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Inspector on behalf of our public sector client based in South London.

The role will provide technical leadership and knowledge to the Electrical aspects of the compliance team. To verify installations, authorise works and provide auditing of works.

This is a contract role, initially for 3 to 6 months and is paying up to £350 per day Umbrella. The role offers hybrid working, with at least 2 days in the office/on site in Croydon.

· Authorising properties to be rewired

· Managing lateral mains replacements

· Managing Fire Alarm works

· Managing Emergency Lighting Upgrades and Maintenance

· Evaluating and deciding on variation requests both pre, during and post works

· Providing audits both during and post works

· Verifying financial claims against actual work undertaken

· Supporting the forced access process

· Providing technical leadership in the event of electrical emergencies

· Provide written assessment of variation proposals, provide written assessments of rewire proposals vs remediation resolution

· Provide challenge when required to contractors

Essential knowledge:

· Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS7671

· Experience working as a qualified electrician

· Experience working within a local authority/housing association

· Social housing electrical works
