Our client, a leading provider in the controls and automation sector, is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Leicester. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have a strong focus on Eplan as well as extensive knowledge in controls systems. This is a permanent position with an immediate start available.

Main responsibilities

• Design electrical and control systems for a range of projects using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software
• Generate various pages, such as title page, table of contents, revision overview, and more
• Work closely with the project team to ensure timely and budget-compliant designs
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams
• Proficient in safety hardware validation using SISTEMA

Requirements

• HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as an electrical designer
• Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Strong experience in electrical and control system design using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software
• Knowledge of basic electrical and control components
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK driver's license
• Right to work in the UK
