Early Careers Teacher - Secondary Education

A progressive and vibrant secondary school in Essex is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) across various subjects to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for newly qualified teachers to develop their teaching skills in a supportive and innovative educational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, adhering to the national curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and lesson planning in collaboration with department teams.
  • Assess, monitor, and record the progress of students, adapting teaching methods to cater for varied learning needs.
  • Participate in the school’s extensive professional development programme, designed to support ECTs through mentorship and bespoke training sessions.
  • Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities, school events, and parent evenings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) anticipated by the start date.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development as an early career teacher.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive approach to embracing new teaching methodologies and technologies.
