E&I Shift Technician

Annual salary of £42,500

Adept are glad to be working with a well-established industrial site located in Chesterfield, specialising in a particular market, with multiple sites across the UK and Europe.

Our client is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join the team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Working within a hybrid shift pattern, you'll provide essential electrical support to the production team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on 3 phase A.C. electrical systems, motors, pumps, rolls, screens, and fans.
  • Utilizing CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) to manage maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Fault finding on PLCs and using SCADA control systems to diagnose electrical issues (advantageous).
  • Maintaining D.C. motors (advantageous).
  • Flexibility to support the team on shifts and perform limited process work as required.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience with CMMS and following electrical PPMs.
  • Proficiency in fault finding on 3 phase A.C. electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with motors driving pumps, rolls, screens, and fans.
  • Advantageous experience with fault finding on PLCs and using SCADA control systems.
  • Experience with maintaining D.C. motors (advantageous).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work within a hybrid shift pattern, including weekends and holidays.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Annual salary of £42,500
  • Overtime paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday, double time on Sundays.
  • Attractive shift rota pattern: 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts starting at 6am and 6pm) with planned breaks.
