DT Technician
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated DT Technician to join the science deprtmanet in a secondary school in Ipswich on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Design and Technology department by maintaining equipment and tools.
- Assist teachers in preparing materials and resources for practical lessons.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to students during project work.
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld within the workshop environment.
- Collaborate with staff to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining workshop machinery and tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A genuine passion for design, technology, and education.
