We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated DT Technician to join the science deprtmanet in a secondary school in Ipswich on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Design and Technology department by maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Assist teachers in preparing materials and resources for practical lessons.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to students during project work.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld within the workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining workshop machinery and tools.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A genuine passion for design, technology, and education.
