Director of Software Development

Director of Software Development required by a leading global Cloud Technology company based in Bracknell.

The company are working on cutting-edge technology and have a team of circa 80 Software Developers. The Director of Software Development will oversee a number of Software Development Managers.

This will be a management role however the successful Director of Software Development will be expected to have progressed from a Software Development background with strong technical knowledge. The company work with C# and React however due to the management focus of the role, they are happy to consider people with previous experience in other programming languages.

The company operate on a hybrid model which involves 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Essential experience:

  • Degree in STEM, Computer Science or related subject ideally from a Russell Group or Red Brick University
  • Experience leading software development teams
  • Hands on programming background prior to moving into management/leadership
  • Agile

Any experience in the following would be advantageous:

  • Latest versions of .NET
  • JavaScript, TypeScript and associated frameworks
  • Experience managing Software Development Managers
