Position Overview

The role of Digital Marketing Assistant is to work with the Technical, Paid, Content and Social Media Teams to ensure our client strategies and objectives are achieved to the highest standard.

This role provides an overview and training in each of the Agency’s departments enabling the Digital Marketing Assistant to learn about all aspects of the services that we offer our clients. This role has a focus on SEO and PPC.

Structure

Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will also build strong relationships with the following teams: -

  • The Technical Team
  • The Paid Team
  • The Content and Social Media Team
  • The Senior Management Team

Role responsibilities include: -

  • Learn about and carry out SEO fundamentals
  • Learn about and carry out local SEO fundamentals
  • Carry out Keyword Research
  • Provide insight into/propose elements to a new site structure
  • Fixing and optimising URLs
  • Carry out Page and Mobile Optimisations
  • Reporting on SEO
  • Fixing linking issues both externally and internally
  • Technical SEO site audits fixes
  • Image optimisation
  • Utilising HTML coding to fix a range of issues
  • Implementation of content campaigns including content creation, on-page optimisation, link building and email campaigns
  • PPC - Analyse web page analytics, looking at bounce rate, traffic source, time spent on page and page speed
  • Proactively contribute to the team with fresh ideation and innovative strategies
  • Be responsive to constructive feedback
  • Provide prompt and professional client liaison
  • Review, analyse and question monthly client reports, raising any concerns, points of interest or ideas for improvement to your line manager
  • Ensure that client workload, training and self-development are carried out in line with allocated time frames
  • Liaise and communicate with all teams to ensure that the overall client strategies and goals are being achieved
  • Complete training and coaching necessary to maintain progression with training program for all areas of the business, including, SEO, PPC, Content and Social Media
  • Ensure accurate completion of time sheets is carried out
  • Adapt to and utilise different software systems used to carry out daily work and activities, e.g., WordPress and OpenCart
  • Any other duty that may be required in line with the business needs

  • Good level of Microsoft skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Place of work:

The role of Digital Marketing Assistant is an office based role, with the possibility of also working from home.

Holiday Allowance

25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days plus bank holidays with length of service.

Salary

£24K to £30K per annum, depending on experience and skill set
