Development Manager

Immediately Required

Location: Bristol

Salary Circa £58,000 per annum

Length of Contract: Permanent

Our client is a fabulous housing association in Bristol, who has some exciting investment plans. They are looking to recruit a new Development Manager to work with the head of service, overseeing high quality mixed tenure projects including land led, new builds and regeneration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business objectives and strategic plans.
  • Represent the organization positively to external stakeholders.
  • Ensure homes are warm, safe, and net zero carbon.
  • Lead development team to high performance in line with organizational values.
  • Update and ensure policies, procedures, and processes are current.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, government agencies, developers, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Support and train colleagues to meet business and personal objectives.
  • Set and monitor team performance standards, driving improvements.

About You:

  • Degree level education or relevant professional qualification/experience (e.g., RICS/RTPI/CIOH/RIBA/CIOB).
  • Proven experience in a development role, property field, or senior project management in Social Housing
  • Knowledge of new build development principles
  • Understanding of building procurement methods, contracts, and industry legislation.
  • Experience in setting and managing budgets
  • Strong partnership development skills with stakeholders
