Development and Production Lead Engineer
 
Role profile:
 
Key responsibilities:
 
  • Start the research program to develop Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) products for new applications for long term development of the business.
  • Implement manufacturing processes to automate the manufacture and packaging of our current product range
  • Ensure efficient stream of product purchases in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintain and improve on our ISO, HAPAS, HACCP and Lloyds of London qualifications
  • Ensure development is based on sustainable inputs with ecological awareness of waste materials
  • Prepare scaled up operational setup for delivery of new products to market
  • Reporting of R & D progress to board level
 
Person profile:
 
  • Laboratory and research experience producing MMA
  • Experience of translating product manufacture from laboratory to industrial production
  • Can manage time independently
  • Team player and ability to lead
  • Methodical with research and documentation
  • Has contributed doctoral thesis or published research papers in reference to MMA and applications
 
Salary & Benefits:
 
  • £65,000+
  • Discretionary bonus of up to 10% of salary per annum
