Despatch Front Line Manager

Our client is a national business with a 24 hour a day, 364 days of the year operation. They have 8 manufacturing sites plus 6 designated depots which do the distribution.
Your new role
We have an excellent opportunity for a developing logistics professional to join a team of Despatch Front Line Managers. This rotational shift role alternates from days to nights, working 4 on 4 off from 0600-1800 and 1800-0600. Working in a fast-paced, diverse environment, you will lead, motivate and develop a team to cover the entire activity cycle from incoming goods to despatching customer orders. You will effectively utilise both their people and their systems to ensure control, allocation and picking of stock as per customer requirements. You will also build and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders, including distribution, Customer Services, 3rd party suppliers plus our clients depots.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Previous experience developing people to consistently high-performance levels in a comparable role. Working within a fast paced environment and demonstrate the ability to take a practical approach to decision-making. Be a skilled and confident communicator. Good working knowledge of MS Office - Word and Excel IOSH would be an advantage. Able to function and decide the work methods competently when faced with tight deadlines and intensive workloads.
What you\'ll get in return
