A large secondary school are currently looking to appoint a qualified Design and Technology teacher to teach resistant materials and product design leading in woodwork for September 20224 on either a temporary or permanent contract.

The Role

This role is a full-time teaching position in the school’s Design and Technology department. You will be teaching mixed ability classes across both KS3 and KS4. Year 7 and year 8 classes follow a broad introduction to all Design and Technology subjects and your focus in these year groups will be to teach basic skills in wood work. From year 9, pupils opt to either complete BTEC Design and Technology or GCSE Product Design. You will be teaching across both courses again with a focus on wood work and resistant materials.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching and learning, assessments and coursework towards examination. You will be joining an established team in the technology department with good support and career development opportunities.

The school is primarily accessible by car with ample onsite parking available.
