Deputy SENCo with Teaching

We are currently looking for an exceptional Deputy SENCo or an SEN teacher who is seeking to develop their leadership skills as Deputy SENCo, to join the team at a secondary school in Croydon. The school has a long established, distinctive and positive ethos which guides their work and the education of students there. The successful candidate will work alongside the SENCo for a minimum of 3 days a week. They will ensure that the teaching and learning environment is inclusive of all pupils and is adapted to meet individual needs. The role will involve some subject teaching. They will have a thorough understanding of inclusion legislation, a passion for SEND, and a desire to have a positive and lasting impact on the young people they support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a qualified teacher.

  • Experience and knowledge of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

  • Ability to lead and manage staff confidently.
