Based in West Sussex, my client is looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to join their excellent, friendly and vibrant Nursery.

The role is based on full time hours working 40 hours over Monday to Friday.

Main Duties:

· Leading a team of Early Year Practitioners and Room Leaders

· Supporting, mentoring and motivating staff

· Supporting the third in charge and room leaders to help manage their rooms and ensure the nursery standards are adhered to at all times

· Keeping accurate records and ensuring all procedures are followed in the rooms

· Assisting with the induction of new staff

· Supporting the team to ensure the children to ensure they feel happy and safe

· Bring out the best in the children

· Liaise with and support parents, carers and other family members

· Maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times, including company business and any information regarding children or parents

· Interact with children positively at all times, encouraging appropriate behaviour, social skills and hygiene routines

· Take all practical and reasonable steps to ensure the safety & wellbeing of all who use the premises

· Adhere to all company policies & procedures

Person Spec:

  • A minimum of a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • A Paediatric First Aid Certificate
  • Experience of observing, assessing and planning for children’s learning & development

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary:£24,500.00 - £28,000.00 per annum
