Demand Planner

Here at Hobbycraft, we are looking for an Demand Planner to join the team at our Head Office in Christchurch. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and receive a competitive salary of up to £30,000 + pension with a 4% contribution, 25 days holiday increasing every year, 25% discount in our stores, hybrid working policy and many more!

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm but we have a flexible approach to start and finish times.

Our hybrid working model is3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

About the Demand Planner role:

As a Demand Planner for Hobbycraft, you will be optimising stock levels within our stores, ecommerce, and DC through the analysis of forecasts and trends to ensure great levels of availability of product to meet consumer demand. 

Working closely with the buying team, other responsibilities include identifying seasonal, life cycle and promotional trends and ensuring software tools are adjusted to reflect these. Managing allocations to stores and providing reports and analysis to ensure range launches land on time.

A proactive and problem-solving approach should always be adopted, alongside a resilient mind-set, enabling you to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.    You will be playing a key role in driving our business forward and supporting the company’s growth.

What we're looking for in our Demand Planner:

• Retail experience as a planner, analyst, or merchandiser
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience
• Previous forecasting experience
• Able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of working within a fast-paced environment
• Analytical, organized and with an attention to detail
• Excellent IT Skills
• Positive and resilient
• Strong communicator
• Experience of delivering on KPI’s
