The Securities Services Technology Programme Manager is responsible for the delivery and overall success of a range of strategic projects for technology-enabled Securities Services programmes, delivering high value sustainable business outcomes. The candidate must have adequate knowledge and information about the business and technology to be able to make informed decisions and ensure that a collaborative approach to working is adopted.

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to be part of a global team and assume responsibility for running projects and programmes within Custody Technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the programme delivery team from technology and management of stakeholders across Technology, Operations & Product
  • Assume responsibility for all technology components of the development and implementation of strategic / complex projects
  • Develop detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports
  • Set guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs
  • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, financial planning and control of programme, and take accountability for delivery outcomes.
  • Implement effective programme governance and delivery processes
  • Proactively identify and manage / mitigate risks and issues within the programme, and where appropriate escalate to senior management for resolution
  • Understand and monitor expectations of the programme sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Ensure sponsors and stakeholders are fully engaged and receive the appropriate level of information in a timely and consistent manner, in line with SST standards
  • Provide transparent and tight control of the programme budget and financial cycle, including ensuring adherence to agreed financial targets
  • Adhere to Citi standards of quality and timeliness for programme and project artefacts
  • Develop and demonstrate knowledge of the technology ecosystem and business architecture
  • Look for ways to improve and promote quality through demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness
Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • Complex Project and Programme Management experience within a technology organisation delivering high value projects. Thorough understanding of project/programme management techniques
  • A proven leadership style that creates an environment for delivery of clear, measurable goals
  • Ability to organise and prioritise critical issues and information to facilitate efficient decision making, providing oversight and guidance to project teams
  • Exceptional communicating, influencing and engagement skills
  • Customer Obsession: Committed to have a customer-first approach
  • Growth Mind-set: Experience and passion for learning; implementing practices from others; trying, failing, sharing practices and knowledge for others' benefit
  • Problem Solver: Ability to solve complex challenges, and have a high ability to remove barriers, understanding internal and external organizational structures, dynamics and trade-off
  • Financial & budget management expertise
  • Data analysis & KPIs management
  • Crisis & risk management confidence and experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
  • PMP/PgMP, Prince 2 or similar professionally recognised qualifications in project management
  • Certified in Agile / Scrum
