Debt Collector

REED are recruiting for a Collections Agent / Credit Controller to join a prestigious company based in Poole, Dorset.

This is a Full Time (37.5 hours) Perm position.

You will be responsible for negotiating reliable payment and managing a portfolio of customers.

This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £24,500.00

About the Role

• Handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with customers
• Negotiating, implementing, and monitoring reliable repayment resolutions
• Processing payments
• Communicating with customers through emails to encourage engagement from unresponsive customers
• Managing a portfolio of customers, ensuring payment plans are maintained
• Updating our database and systems to keep an accurate record of activities
• Working with collections and litigation to ensure our customers understand the process
• Developing litigation knowledge to support with filing and submitting cases to court and responding to customers effectively

About you

The successful candidate will have an analytical and problem-solving mindset and be able to negotiate effectively. They will have excellent time management skills and strong organisation abilities. They will be a good communicator and have strong IT skills within Microsoft Office.

• Previous inbound and outbound contact centre experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Efficient IT skills and confident using Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Ability to negotiate effectively
