Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the IT Vendor Management and IT Asset Management teams with identifying trusted sources of information, collating the data, creating and reading reports and analysing the results. The role will provide a hands on learning opportunity to apply data gathering skills in a corporate environment and provide the link between learning and applying those skills

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide support to the IT Asset Management team with gathering, analysing and reporting data for software compliance
  • Provide support to the Vendor Management team with reporting and improving existing data output
  • Identify scenarios within the team where better data could be advantageous and communicate then implement these changes applying data essentials skills
  • Review existing reporting and tools and work with the team to improve
  • Assist the IT Asset Management team with data entry and best practice
  • Work with the wider teams within IT to enhance the data provided into and out of the team
  • Communicate regularly with the team and provide feedback on current data output
  • Supporting admin function role, ad-hoc work to assist the team where necessary relevant to learning

Experience Required:

The individual must demonstrate:

  • Basic understanding of the importance of quality data within a company environment
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the IT field
  • Keen interest in suppliers and cost management
  • Basic understanding of software licensing and vendor management
  • Basic Office 365 Skills, Sharepoint, Toolsets used in IT

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
