Job Role - Data Analyst

Location - Central Manchester

Salary - Up to £44,000 plus excellent benefits package!

Work Pattern - Hybrid with 1 to 2 days in the office per week.

Summary

We have a brand new role for a Data Analyst to join an exceptional company in the transportation industry, with an office in central Manchester, close to major transport links.

The main objectives of the Analyst team is to support the company with their local and regional aims within the transport sector. The role will be pivotal in providing key input into the technical delivery of a wide range of analytic activities with a focus on transport modelling. You will be expected to develop effective working relationships with project teams and clients so excellent communication skills are a must!

This position would suit someone with experience, especially in the transport sector. You'll be working directly with a team of analysts, data scientists and transport modellers so it's a great opportunity to join a team of like-minded and ambitious individuals.

They're offering this position on a hybrid basis with 1 to 2 days a week in their Manchester office.

Your Role

In this role you will be expected to undertake statistical analysis and to develop and operate transport modelling to provide clear, objective and compelling recommendations to policy makers.

  • Be passionate about the role of transport to support local and regional aims
  • High levels of numeracy, problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking are a must.
  • Transport modelling experience
  • Prepare evidence for use by internal or external stakeholders.
  • Provide data, analytics and assurance services
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Have knowledge of transport planning guidance and best practice

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the transportation industry
  • Transport modelling experience
  • Python
  • SATURN, CUBE or VISUM
  • Relevant qualifications
