About the role 

A key focus of this role ismaking Digital Commercea competitive advantage for Haleon. The retail landscape is rapidly changing, so we need to ensure that Haleon is ready and able to win in the new world.The successful candidate will leadHaleon’s efforts to build and exploit systemic competitive advantages in the current and future areas of digital commerce across all relevant parts of the enterprise. This will be achieved byworking in close partnership to lead the development of these strategies alongisde Categories,BUs and Tech plus external agencies, including but not limited to industry changing innovation such as AI.  The role reports in the Head of Marketing excellence.    

Key responsibilities 

  • Identify future trends and opportunities in the rapidly changingDComm space,?then build, prove, codify and drive adoption of capabilities across E2E marketing  

  • Identifyhow the organisation activity system (strategies, structure, decision making, knowledge. information flow skills, processes and systems) will need to change and evolve to reflect the rapidly changing retail landscape and partner with the decision makers for all of these elements to ensure that we make the changes. 

  • Drive awareness and adoption of current and future best practices across the whole enterprise (global, BU and shopper marketing, Category, BU and country sales and comEx,  R&D and finance).   

  • Maximise access to knowledge and learning via execution of community of practices of all above BU DComm resources (Capability, Global Amazon, Tools, Finance etc.) to drive cross fertilization of ideas, learnings and  ownership of the Digital Commerce Hub – the central repository for collation of all best practices gathered globally across Dcomm which is the go-to source for all BUs.  

  • Own and drive the flagship capability programme – Digital Commerce Academy, including the flagship Mini MBA programme with University College London.  Includes owning the relationship and set the strategic direction on endorsed Haleon programs with University College London School of Executive Education & their Chief Examiner. Be responsible forproviding UCL with the required verification of learner eligibility for awarding of the Mini MBA 

  • Be the thought leader to and manage the Global Digital Graduate Program through close collaboration with all involved functions / teams & the early talent team to create a digital talent pipeline for the future. Sourcing & interviewing of new cohorts. Conduct monthly connects with all Graduates and ensure continued networking between all graduates. Provide career guidance for off-boarding graduates at the end of their program. This role will also include being the primary point of contact with Oxford Professional Education Group for management of the mandatory graduate development programs. 

Qualifications and skills 

  • Experience working across key D-Comm channels (omni, pureplay, marketplace, eB2B etc) 

  • Experience in building capabilities that enable others to deliver independently

  • Evidence of moving at high speed, working in an agile way in a volatile and uncertain environment
