Reed Technology is delighted to be working with a leading Bristol based organisation with their search for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their fantastic team

This is a permanent opportunity – offering hybrid working

The successful cyber security analyst will protect the organisations information system - research, support and configure relevant tools to analyse security risks and support projects to ensure company security processes are followed and implemented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the identification of required security related issues, and that they are acted upon by configuring and establishing monitoring, correlation, and alerting solutions
  • Carry out configuration and maintenance of the implemented SIEM, IDS, DLP and other cyber security solutions to enable them to effectively process and manage security events
  • Produce and maintain dashboards for monitoring security information for the management and Information Security team, to be able to provide various degree of visibility both real-time and over extended periods of the security events within the environment
  • Ensure that all solutions set up for security and monitoring can effectively monitor and report upon security events happening within the environment by assigning security solution agents to devices and systems
  • Participate in the process of selecting and reviewing of information security solutions
  • Conduct internal penetration testing and manage external penetration tests and vulnerability scanning
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the cybersecurity threatscape and keep up to date with trends and innovations in the security industry
  • Provide support and expertise during cyber incidents and contribute to the development of cyber incident management and response plans

We are looking for:

  • Deep and broad security experience and knowledge of infrastructure
  • Working experience with SIEM, DLP, and other relevant technologies
  • Good understanding of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR and other security-related regulatory and compliance standards
  • Advanced analytical skills and strong ability to remain calm and diplomatic under highly stressful situations
  • Experience of Incident Response and Incident Management
