Customer Excellence Officer

Salary: Competitive: £23,500 per annum

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Colchester

Job Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (coverage required between 8.30am – 5.30pm)

Reed in Colchester are delighted to supporting our client seeking a Customer Excellence Officer to join our Commercial/Customer Excellence team on a long term temporary basis. This role is central to providing outstanding service to our customers, from initial enquiries through to long-term support. The ideal candidate will be adept at working to tight deadlines, adhering to regulatory conditions and policies, and will excel in both independent and team settings.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Support the onboarding of centre administrative staff, including training on processes for registration, certification, and booking external assessments
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with centre contacts, proactively understanding and supporting their needs
  • Process learner registrations, achievements, and certification transactions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Handle applications for centre recognition and qualification approval in line with our approval process
  • Contribute to project work within the team as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • English language and Mathematics to at least GCSE grade C or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ administration experience in a customer-facing role
  • Substantial experience operating databases, including in-house systems
  • Desirable: Experience in customer account management within an Awarding Organisation setting
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
  • Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in using a variety of in-house databases
