Job Title - Credit Manager

Job Type - Full-time, permanent

Salary - £32,000 - £40,000 (dependant on experience)

IPS Finance are working alongside a reputable business who are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead their credit control function.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled Credit Manager to oversee credit risk assessment, credit policy implementation, and credit control strategies within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Control:

Manage the end-to-end credit control process, including setting credit limits, monitoring customer accounts, and implementing collection strategies to minimize bad debt risk.

  • Team Leadership:

Lead and develop a team of credit control professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.

  • Credit Risk Assessment:

Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, utilizing financial analysis, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess risk levels.

  • Credit Policy Development:

Develop and implement credit policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance across the business.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on credit performance, aging analysis, and key credit metrics for management review, utilizing data insights to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the credit management function, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in credit management or related roles, with a comprehensive understanding of credit risk assessment, credit control, and collections.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
