This position for a Credit Controller in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail and an affinity for numbers, ready to join our Accounting & Finance team.

Description

  • Good analytical and numeric skills, working with various sources of data and usually utilising excel to bring charges together and sense checking them before issuing to your customers.
  • Ability to take ownership of your customers to meet their requirements and deadlines
  • In particular agree charges with your customers and produce the necessary invoices, kpis and delivery paperwork they require.
  • Good problem solving skills and knowing when to escalate any issues to the Supervisor
  • Looking to take on different customers and provide cover when colleagues are on holiday
  • Building good working relationships within the Central Pricing team, other departments at Head Office, depot staff and customer's staff
  • Maintain and update customer financial records.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries related to invoices and payments.
  • Regularly liaise with surrounding teams
  • Generate and present reports on the status of outstanding debts.
  • Implement strategies to reduce the amount of unpaid debts.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Accounting & Finance team.

Profile

A successful 'Credit Controller' should have:

  • A sound understanding of credit control processes and principles.
  • Proficiency in the use of financial software and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
