Butler Rose is delighted to assist our Milton Keynes-based client in recruiting an experienced Credit Controller for a part-time role (30 hours). As a Credit Controller, you'll be instrumental in safeguarding the company's financial health by ensuring prompt client payments while nurturing positive client relationships.

The 30-hour schedule offers flexibility, spread across four or five days, with potential for hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage customer accounts, ensuring accurate transaction records.
  • Pursue overdue invoices through phone, email, and letters, fostering professional client relationships.
  • Negotiate payment terms and plans, resolving payment disputes effectively.
  • Monitor credit limits and provide credit risk assessments for both new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like sales and finance to swiftly resolve billing or payment issues.
  • Prepare and present reports for regular management meetings.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in Credit Control.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, adept at fostering positive relationships internally and externally.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
